From the Frame to the Finish
We are a building and carpentry company based near Romford, taking on full house refurbishments, extensions, loft conversions, kitchens and outbuildings across Essex, Hertfordshire and East London.
A carpenter's eye on every stage of the build.
SPR started as a carpentry and flooring business, and that background runs through every job we take on now. Roof timbers, stud walls, staircases, fitted joinery and floors are all trades we know from the inside, so the finish is thought about from the first day rather than added at the end.
Our customers mention the same things: knowledge of the job, honest advice and work that shows the experience behind it. One had a full wall of panelled wardrobes designed and built. Another had an old parquet floor restored instead of ripped out.
“Excellent restoration of our parquet flooring. Great knowledge of the job. Trustworthy and professional.”Reece Sargent, Google review
A recent look at the range.
A few recent projects, from a kitchen extension to a bespoke library wall and an oak framed garage.
A rear extension opened up to the kitchen.
A rear extension with a roof lantern, opened through to a new navy kitchen with oak worktops, brass handles and built in ovens, and one floor running through the whole space.
A library wall made for a period room.
Bespoke shelving built for a period living room: open bookcases either side, an arched niche in the middle, radiator covers with mesh fronts, fluted pilasters and a cornice, all sprayed in deep green.
An oak framed garage under a clay tile roof.
Oak frame on a brick plinth with ledged and braced oak doors, a side door and windows, black weatherboarding down the side and a hipped clay tile roof with a rooflight.
What our customers say once the job is finished.
